  Is This Record-ing?

  Go to two record shops in Capitol Hill within 4 blocks of Broadway and find a grunge vinyl LP. (It must be actual grunge; post-grunge is not acceptable. When in doubt, ask the game coordinator.) It must not be a compilation; it needs to be an original album. Don’t buy this LP. Take a picture of the LP with a team member making a peace sign with it. If the store employees don’t like you doing that, skip that part and have the whole team take a selfie outside (but only after you entered the store first and found the vinyl). If you do this, you must also tell us what the album and artist you found was. If there is no vinyl for sale that fulfills these conditions, you must complete another task. (Note: if you happen to find a nice grunge LP that you really want to buy, you can buy it if there are other grunge LPs that would still be available for other teams to successfully complete this task.)

  Find the large green clock in front of the Ben Bridge Jeweler store near 5th and Pine. Using forced perspective, take a picture of your team appearing to lift the clock up, like a construction crew about to puncture a hole through the downtown tunnel and cause the Link to shut down. The team member taking the photo does not need to be in the picture.

  Record a video of the team performing 20 total burpees at Lake Union Park and a video of the team performing 20 total burpees at Gas Works Park. The burpees may be divided up among team members however you choose (eg: one person doing all 20, or four people each doing five, etc.). A burpee is defined as a push up followed immediately by a jumping jack.

  Find three “purple sidewalks” in the ground (known as vault lights). They are waffle-shaped and were used as skylights (to let light into the underground city of Seattle) in the 19th century.
